Limestone overhang at Les Eyzies

This is the first of a number of posts to come, arising from a recent trip to the Dordogne area of France. The primary purpose of the trip was to see prehistoric cave art in the region, but the irony is that very few images of the art will appear in this blog, as photographs of the art are forbidden in most of the locations. However, there is much else to photograph.

I start with several images of a limestone rock overhang that is right outside the first hotel we stayed in. The photos were taken at different times of day, in different light and weather conditions, and from different viewpoints.
