Shropshire (2) - The Iron Bridge

The main feature of Ironbridge is, of course, The Bridge. It dominates the small town and it appears everywhere as a logo.

This shop has the bridge-as-logo painted on its window, and if you stand in the right place, you can see a reflection of the actual bridge in the glass.

The bridge today is pedestrian only, and from its centre, iron roundels frame the view both upstream, and downstream

The views of the bridge's arches, from many different angles, are iconic.

And the buttresses on the banks are impressive in themselves.

But there are other views, too: the flowers growing by the bridge, or the people walking across.
