Heavy metal

I've just returned from a week's holiday in North Norfolk. The weather was mostly dull, leaden grey or pouring with rain, but with a couple of days of bright sunshine. Bright sun glinting off sand and reflecting off sea posed one kind of challenge; leaden grey a different one! In processing my images I've consequently ended up using quite a lot of black and white.

The first three images here are details from the maritime monument to George Vancouver, on the riverfront at King's Lynn. The last two are industrial items (one ancient and rusting) seen from the Norfolk coast path, just east of Wells-next-the-Sea.
