It had got to 29th January and I realised I hadn't yet done any monochromes for this month. After endless days of dull, grey, poor light, drizzle, low cloud . . . Wednesday was bright and sunny, so I thought I'd go out in search of sharp shadows, which work well in monochrome. So I headed out . . . and the cloud cover came over, wholly obscuring the sun: I'd just have to see what I found.
And I found some movement and reflections in the lake, lingering autumn seedheads, a tree fallen in the recent storm, light on a stone arch from both sides, and some early snowdrops.
